New for 2019, The Scorpion arrives in Perth, promising showgoers one of the fastest, most intense ride experiences anywhere in Australia. The ride is made up of three inverted V-shaped arms, each holding a seven-car wheel. As the ride spins, the wheels rotate against the spin, lifting the free-swinging cars into the air and subjecting the rider to huge centrifugal forces. Don’t miss out this incredible new ride in Sideshow Alley.
After a four-year wait, thrill-seekers can celebrate the return of a roller coaster to the Perth Royal Show in 2019.
But this isn’t just any roller coaster. Making its state, Australian and worldwide debut, this brand new ride will be available to the WA public before anybody else.
In fact, this coaster is so new, it doesn’t even have a name yet! Keep an eye on Perth Royal Show social media accounts for updates.
The coaster sees riders seated in circular, free moving carriages which rotate through 360 degrees as the ride climbs and falls through tight twisting turns and sudden drops.
The constant spin and quick changes in direction disorientates the rider, with each carriage spinning in an unpredictable way, making each ride unique. While one carriage might take the first drop facing forward, the second might be facing backwards, sideways or even spinning as it gains momentum down the track
