Artist’s Statement:
Kondinin Western Australia has always had a special place in my childhood, as my brothers, sister and I went to there for two weeks in the summer holidays in primary school with neighbours. We went to a lake to swim, and a huge sandstorm we could see for miles came rolling towards us and the mother who took us said ?we have to get out of here quickly?. I always wanted to go back there as the family we stayed with were lovely and it was an exciting time for a young boy. Seeing this lake inspired me, particularly the swimmer bringing back many memories.
