Artist’s Statement:
My work explores themes of isolation and resilience, reflecting on the experience of being both enveloped by and estranged from nature. Stranded forest asks viewers to consider their own connection to the wild: how it comforts, disorients, and transforms. Through the labour-intensive process of hand-tufting, I weave my own narrative into the fibres, creating a space where vulnerability and strength coexist.
