The winners of the National Photographic Exhibition were crowned at last night’s awards presentation held at the Claremont Showground.
As the only national photographic exhibition in the state, the competition attracted over 1000 entries, with almost half of those selected to be included in the exhibition during Show.
Proudly supported by Ted’s Cameras and Camera Electronic, awards are presented across eight categories including open colour, wildlife, Australian rural life, and landscape or seascape. From these entries, seven major award winners were selected.
Robyn Sermon, Royal Agricultural Society of WA (RASWA) CEO says the level of creativity and talent keeps increasing year-on-year.
“The caliber of entries was exceptionally high this year and the judges were presented with some very difficult decisions,” Sermon said.
“We had a very strong pool of female talent, with 33 women being acknowledged throughout the night, up from 25 last year.
“It’s wonderful to see such great entry numbers and we can’t wait to welcome crowds to view the amazing artwork during Show week.”
Congratulations to all Major Award winners:
