The Hobby Horse Competition brings big fun and even bigger laughs to the Showgrounds. Competitors of all ages leap, prance, and gallop their way through classic equestrian routines but instead of real horses, they ride colourful stick ponies.
Judged on creativity, skill, and flair, the event combines the tradition of show horse classes with a playful twist that’s just as entertaining for the audience as it is for the riders. Expect costumes, choreography, and plenty of cheeky moves as participants show off their “mounts” in the ring.
