Perth Cheer & Dance Crew (PCDC) is an All Star Cheerleading and Dance Academy. PCDC strives to be a humble and welcoming environment where both males and femail of all shapes, sizes and abilities are encouraged to come together to lear, train, have fun, and form lifelong friendships. All of the students at PCDC are trained in a safe environment, under fully qualified coaching staff. PCDC has programs for beginners all the way up to advanced athletes. Sharyn is a local entertainer, singing totor and nurse. Passionate about sharing music with the community. Trained in musical theatre and vocal lecturer at Australian School of Theatre. Offering private lessons, group classes for children and private functions.

11:30am Highland Dancers – Celtic Thistle Highland Dancers
A series of traditional Scottish highland dances as well as a few choreographies using steps from the traditional dances. The dances are performed in a variety of traditional highland dance costumes. The traditional dances are done to bagpipe music and the choreographies are done to more contemporary Scottish music. Our dancers range from 3 years to adult, and while the older dancers are more technically proficient, they all love dancing, and the tiniest dancers are alwasy a crowd favourite.

12:40pm Acoustic Duo – Essence
Essence is a collaboration of two powerful woman and music artists with equally as powerful voices. A well known pressence in the music scene as origianl composers – this rising duo are known for their soulful sensuous melodies, smooth sailing harmonies and unique and intricate guitar arrangements, that quite literall make the guitar “sing” for itself. Essence are inspired by genres such as Soul, R&B, Reggae, Blues and Roots, with ese genres entwined gives Essence their influence. SInce forming late October 2017, Essence have been collaboratin gna d revamping their older composed songs, developing their songwriting skills while creating their own unique sound.

Talent company dance & entertainment is dedicated to ‘creating tomorrows talent today’, catering to both recreational and professional students. Operating from our own purpose-designed, state of the art modern studios, we offer over 100 weekly classes in modern jazz, tap, ballet, acrobatics, lyrical, musical theatre, contemporary, preschoolers fun classes, singing, aerial silks and hip hop. An encouraging ad supportive atmosphere is promoted whilst providing excellent technical training from experience and highly qualified teaching staff.

The Fremantle Jazz Orchestra (FJO) is a community Jazz Orchestra whoe aim is to develop a strong relationship with community organisations, through performances at festivals, community events and other more traditional music venues in the Fremantle and Metropolitan area. FJO performs music from the swinging 30’s and 40’s through to the modern big band sounds of today. It includes songs in the vocal trandion of Sinatra and Buble’ with hints of Aretha Franklin and Dusty Springfield, creating a veritable feast for the listener.

Music Rocks is Australias largest music school for people of all abilities seeing over 2000 people across the state, working with everyone from people with a disability, youth justice, through to immigration as well as mainstream children just looking to start their musical journey. Music Rocks travels to schools, education support centers, disability homes and government facilities forming bands and groups of people who perform at some of Perth biggest venues. They also record songs in the Music Rocks studio and get radio airplay across for the country for kids as young as 8, taking their music to the next level Music Rocks is all about inclusion with the aim being to reverse the usual process and have everyone playing music in a band even without prior experience, revealing the rockstars they are and having them come off the stage feeling 10 feet tall taking that confidence into everything they do. The WA Performance School has been operating in subiaco for over 25 years, providing high quality and fun dance, music, drama and acrobatics classes to students of all ages from toddlers to adults. Mitchel Regan is a 17 year old aspiring musician from Perth. Over the past few years he has been writing and has released songs such as “Something about you” and “ Hypnotised” on Spotify, Apple Music, etc. People have described his voice as soulful and his sound gets compared to Shawn Mendes and james Arthu regularly. For the Royal Show Mitchel will be performing a few originals and covers for the crowd over his 45 minute segments, including “Something About You” and “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz.

A Cheer leading gym located in Canningvale. We have been operating for 5 years. Our routines are made up of stunts, tumbles and dance.

3:00pm Japanese Pop Culture – Stelluna
We are Stelluna! Stelluna is a not for profit dance cover group. We cover Japanese idol groups such as Love Live, Idol Master and Vocoloid, just to name a few. Cosplaying is a large part of our performance, we enjoy making all our costumes. Stelluna has performed at events such as Madfest and Supanove, we look forward to performing at the Perth Royal Show 2018.

4:15pm Comedian – Linh Lee
Linh Lee is a Singaporean Vietnamese comedian, dancer and actress. Having performed in a number of choirs and playwrights at the University of WA, as well as comedy nights around Perth and Melbourne, Lee is constantly evolving, finding wways to make her next performance quirkier than the last. She recetly took out the runner up position at Curtin University’s 2018 ‘ Comedy in the Tavern’ series, as well as performed at a number of charitable occasions such as the recent ‘Broken Crayon’s Still Colour” event in support of domestic violence victimes. Lee also runs a comedy Youtube channel, where she portrays a number of characters inclding Ching Wen (a Vietnamese mother figure) and Rayashi (Indian call center employee). Lee states that she centres her craft on her persnal experiences in life, including incidences that triggered her depression as a teen and young adult. She finds wasy to humour them instead of remain in a negative state of mind. An up and coming act not to be missed.

Sally Jane is a 16 year old singer, songwriter and instrumentalist from serpentine. Sally graduated from the australian academy of country music and returned to tamworth for the 2018 fstival and performed opn stage with Adam Harvey. Sally jane is a nominee for WA country music awards peoples choice and has released her debut single Beersheba, a tribute the australia lighthouse.

We will be performing a high energy routine that includes tricks, stunts, tumbles and dance. It will be cheerleading routine but modified to suit the performance surface – we will be lifting people in the air and to make stunts and pyramids, tumbling (flips and handsprings), and including some dance.

9:55am Cultural Dance – Ngaru Pou Maori Culture Group
Ngaru Pou. Our roots grow strong from within the depth of New Zealand: the land of the long white cloud and with it the essence of our culture, tranditions, our languarge, protocols, values and the spirit or our people before us. We are abroad from different parts of our homeland but together,we are one.

The Street Dance performers are all primary school studetns of different ages. The Students take part in Street Dance hip-hop classes after school at their local primary school. The students were very excited to be offered the opportunity to take part in this years Perth Royal Show.

Adele & John – A good time duo playing a wide variety of popular songs. Guitars, slide guitar and harmonica provide accompaniment for this lively harmonising duo. Great songs with infectious rhythms to get you singing and dancing along.

12:05pm Dance Group – Gail Meade Performing Arts Centre
The Gail Mead Performing Arts Centre is in its 49th year of operation. Situated in Wangara, the studio offers classes from 2 year of age to professional level. All classes are taught by highly qualified staff in various genres including Jazz, Tap, Classcial, Acrobatics, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Singing. The studio offers a specialised preschool program. Many past studetns are performing professionally around the world today. GMPAC prides itself in Excellence with Enjoyment.

The CBC orchestra and big band have explored a wide range of genres from traditional big band music to funk, soul and rock classics. CBC fremantle has been invited to perform at several notable events in western australia, including the perth jazz society and blues and roots. The bands have toured to adelaide, melbourne and recently completed a successful tour to singapore last july.

Jesse Techelman is a 21 year old street dancer from Perth. Recently returning from LA as a World Champion in his age category at the World Championships Performing Arts in Long Beach Calafornia. Jesse has danced with artists such as Justice Crew, TImomatick and has worked with artists and back ups dancers for Missy Elliot, Usher and CHris Brown. Jesse also teaches dance at local community centres for clallenged youth. Dance and teaching is an absolute passion of his. Jesse was also born with a congenital heart disease having 2 open heart operations alone, many would say that what his is doing today was not espected of his in his early years. His message to everyone is never give up on your dreams and strive until yo achieve. Don’t let anyone stop you…

Raudhah Perez comes from a very musical background, with her whole family being very involved in music. She grew up playing piano, only to take up singing lessons when she joined her music class at Clarkson Cummunity High School in 2013. It was not until 2 years later when she started songwriting. After being accepted into WAAPA, she now studies the music artist course where she is futher developing her skills as a singer/songwriter.

Micah Walker is a young passionate musician, based south of the river. She has the sounds of vaious fold, indie and alternative artists.

Caleb and Kristian will be performing feats of technical mastery and mind manipulation to achieve near miracle level effects. With knowledge from magic dating back to the 1900s under their belt, this pair have been using their dkills to dazzle friends, family and strangers alike for the past 2 years. The lucky audience members in attendance for one of their two shows will bare witness to the pair’s first original stage routine which the duo have been working on for the last 12 months.

All female a Capella ensemble based at St George’s College, UWA. We perform a wide range of modern song and are all about the music.

Music Rocks is Australias largest music school for people of all abilities seeing over 2000 people across the state, working with everyone from people with a disability, youth justice, through to immigration as well as mainstream children just looking to start their musical journey. Music Rocks travels to schools, education support centers, disability homes and government facilities forming bands and groups of people who perform at some of Perth biggest venues. They also record songs in the Music Rocks studio and get radio airplay across for the country for kids as young as 8, taking their music to the next level Music Rocks is all about inclusion with the aim being to reverse the usual process and have everyone playing music in a band even without prior experience, revealing the rockstars they are and having them come off the stage feeling 10 feet tall taking that confidence into everything they do. 9:30am Cultural Group – The NXT Generation Cook Island Dance Group
We do traditional Cook Island dancing, much similar to Hula like Hawaii dancers and have live drummers with drums made from the coconut trees on the Cook Islands. Tranditionally our costumes are made using the plant life and animals of the islands, however we have found alternatives using feathers, pearls fromthe sea and dried leaves and flowers to adorn our women. Our dances are lively and fun with different age groups starting from junir/intermediate dancers and then seniors both male and female. We also have an around the world section of our show enabling interaction wit the crowd to get up and hav a go at doing the hula.

10:25am Chinese Dance – Zhidan Chang Dance School
The Zhidan Chang Dance sShool has been established in perth for over 20 years, participating in various performancs for different events. These include harmony week celebrations, chinese new year celebrations, oz concert and many more. The main aim of this school is to present and share traditional chinese culture through various dance styles to the wonderful multicultural community of australia, lead by teacher Zhidan Chang. their performance at the royal show is a dance that is adapted from the bumper harvest celebration activities of the costal regions, with a group of carefree dancers waving their fans and mimcing the gentle waves of the ocean.

10:50am Music Ensemble – ConTempo Music Inc.
ConTempo music is a new community group founded in 2016 with the primary objective of engaging the community and providing a cotemporary approach to music. All members are given the opportunity to develop and improve their skills,and help is always offered from whomever possible. currently, there are several ensembles in pla, including flute, clarinet and saxophone ensembles, a wind quinet, and a concert band. as well as playing music, we are a self-funding, not for profit community group and regulary host fundraisers, activities and other events to engage the community.

12:00pm Dance Group – KCDC (Kaotsun’s Cover Dance Crew)
KCDC stands for kaotsun’s cover dance crew. We are a perth based KPOP and JPOP cover group. We perform at locals cultural events as well as makes videos for out youtube channel.

Luna Rozza are an Indie Pop Band, made up of 4, 15 year old girls. They met at school and practise there each week, writing their own songs and also doing covers. Luna Rozza are WAM finalists 2018, and were also Fairbridge finalists 2018.

10:00am Calisthenics Team – Calisthenics Association of WA
Calisthenics is a unirque team sport with performance at its heart. It offers a combination of ballet, gymnastics, dance and apparatus (clubs and rods), figure marching and singing. Throuout the year, teams perform their various routines on stage, competing against other clubs on both a State and National level. Through teamwork and self-discipline, calisthenics is a sport which builds self-esteem and confidence, allowing your child to shine on stage and in life.

Ronaldo Dick is a young Perth Aboriginal boy from Geraldton. He is very excited to be performing at the Perth Royal Show this year. His very meaning full act wil show that no matter your colour, no matter who you are, you can still do what you love, whether it’s singing, dancing or acting, even cooking, you can stilldo what you love no matter who you are. Ronald was accepted into the Austraia Performing Arts Academy and has performed in many musicals such as Beauty and the Beast and more.

Ovation Dance Group represents the Russian- Speaking community of Western Australia. You could have seenthem at numerous events across Perth performing West and East European, Oriental, Folk, Contemporary, Latin and Lyrical Dances. They are bringing something special to Perth Royal Show this year – make sure you come watch their performance on 29th September at 12:00pm and experience the untold stories of remote SIberian tribes.

2:10pm Highland Dancer – Celtic Thistle Highland Dancers
A series of traditional Scottish highland dances as well as a few choreographies using steps from the traditional dances. The dances are performed in a variety of traditional highland dance costumes. The traditional dances are done to bagpipe music and the choreographies are done to more contemporary Scottish music. Our dancers range from 3 years to adult, and while the older dancers are more technically proficient, they all love dancing, and the tiniest dancers are always a crowd favourite.
