Competition Information
Horses have added an elegant and graceful presence at the Perth Royal Show since this event evolved from the Fair and Cattle Show first held in Guildford in 1834. The Horses Breed competition is the biggest and most prestigious breed competition in Western Australia. Horses are judged on confirmation to a Standard of Excellence for each breed represented. This year 35 breeds will be judged as part of the competition to award the Supreme Champion Exhibit of the Show.
