Join us in celebrating WA’s finest cattle!

One of the most prestigious and long-standing categories at the Perth Royal Show, the Cattle Competition celebrates the best cattle breeders in Western Australia. With exceptional quality and fierce competition, this event is a highlight for anyone in the industry.

Cattle are judged within their breed, with champion animals then competing in the Interbreed Competition to determine the ultimate winner. Categories for Cattle Judging include both Ring Beef Cattle and Dairy Cattle.

Key Dates

  • Entries open: Thursday 17 July 2025, 4:30pm
  • Entries close: Sunday, 17 August 2025
  • Weighing and Inspections: Saturday, 27 September 2025, 8:30am

Entry Fees

  • Single Pen Classes: $60.90 (RASWA Members: $54.80)
  • Group Classes: $25.40 (RASWA Members: $22.85)
  • Interbreed Breeders Pair: $60.90 (RASWA Members: $54.80)
  • Bedding Fee: $10.00 per Animal
