Indonesian Cuisine

 The Perth Royal Show Guest Nation Indonesia will be showcasing their authentic cuisine in the Indonesian Food Court outside the Ellie Eaton Pavilion. Indonesian Cuisine has evolved from a mix of Dutch, Indian, Portugese, Spanish, Chinese and Middle Eastern influences. Immerse yourself in the culture and the cuisine with food such as Nasi Goreng, Beef Rendang and Satay.

 

  

Woolworths Fresh Food Pavilion

When your at the 2007 Perth Royal Show make sure you pop by the Woolworths Fresh Food Pavilion. Here you can purchase your Follow the Yellow Brick Road eco bag, sample fresh produce and watch demonstrations in the Woolworths Kitchen. Free Taste Testing

 Who doesn't love a FREE Taste Test????

Stroll through the pavilions and you will be offered tastings of Australia's finest products including cheese, milk drinks and olive oil. Make sure you visit the Woolworths Fresh Food Pavilion and the Dairy Pavilion for your samples.

 

  

  

Follow the Yellow Brick Road

 Follow the Yellow Brick Road and uncover the agricultural secrets behind the Perth Royal Show. For $8 you can purchase a Follow the Yellow Brick Road Eco Bag outside the Woolworths Fresh Food Pavilion (Map I-J1). The bag will be jam packed with items such as fresh fruit, shower timer, Golden Eggs Fridge Magnet and a recipe card. Along the trail you will learn about sheep, have the opportunity to pat-a-pig, see how a morse code is sent, watch a fibreglass cow being milked as well as receive more samples such as a wool staple, a miniature paint set and more fresh food. Follow the Yellow Brick Road is a showgoer's passport to agricultural riches.

 

Healthy Alternatives

grilled fishFor the health conscious there are a lot of great tempting treats to get your mouth watering. Why not try a delicious kebab from the Kebab Co. They are 95% fat free and contain low carbohydrates making them a nutricious alternative.

At the stuffed spud everything on the menu is healthy and best of all you can pick your toppings. Stuffed spuds can be quite filling, are fat free and contain no cholesterol. What more could you ask for?

For those looking for a snack or something a little lighter, you can pick up some fruit from the fresh fruit cart outside the Animal Nursery or you could get a fresh fruit icicle from Bare Crush Fruit Icicles. Bottled water and fruit juice is available all over the grounds to quench your thirst.

At JD's Seafood Bar you can purchase fresh salads, fruit salad packs, sandwiches on white or brown bread, lebanese bread and grilled fish. All their food is cooked in vegetable oil, theres no cholesterol and it contains essential omega 3 fats.

The Naked Orange is new to the Perth Royal Show and will be situated outside the Animal Nursery. They will be selling a freshly squeezed Orange Juice, fresh fruit salads and fruit smoothies. Look for the big Orange!

 

HomeMade Food is Good for the Soul - CWA

 There's nothing like mum's homemade biscuits with a tea or coffee and that's exactly what you'll find in the CWA Building (Map J-K6) until 5pm each day. For a donation you can relax with a biscuit and a cuppa while taking in everything you've seen during the day.  There are also unusual crafts on display made by CWA members and the infamous CWA cookbook will be on sale once again.

 

Multicultural Cuisine

laksaIf your looking for food with a little bit of variety then there are a lot of options that will tantalise your taste buds. Guest Nation Indonesia will be hosting their own Food Court outside their pavilion where you will have the opportunity to buy delicious satay or Nasi Goreng. A short stroll down the road and you will find Turkish Cuisine including kebabs, gozleme, salad, rice and a variety of desserts.

Sushi and Nori rolls are available from JD's Seafood Bar if you require some tastes from Japan. Malaysian cuisine is also on the menu at Bunga Raya Satay where you will find an array of foods such as grilled satay, steamed rice cakes and laksa.

 

  

  

Crafty Cooking Creations

 Your mouth will be watering at the sight of lamingtons, cakes, gingerbread houses and meringues in the Tupperware Australia Cookery Competition. Be inspired as you wander through the award winning creations. Cake decorating demonstrations will also be held daily in the Tupperware Cookery Pavilion (Map F8).
