The IGA Follow the Yellow Brick Road is the complete Show package of activities, competitions, agriculture, special offers, food and fun for only $10! It is a great way to see the Show and explore the agricultural exhibits. FYBR only takes two hours to complete so there is plenty of time to enjoy other Show activities.
Shaun is a sheep who doesn’t follow the flock – in fact, he leads them into all sorts of scrapes and scraps, turning peace in the valley into mayhem in the meadow. Two shows daily at the KIDS Corner.

dirtgirl is a gumboot-wearing girl who grows awesome tomatoes, knows cloud names and drives a big orange tractor. Join Charlie Darling in her quest to find dirtgirl and see if she can conquer the challenges to be the most eco friendly person in the whole of the dirtgirlworld! Can she compost, reduce, reuse, recycle, harvest rain water, plant a garden, swap and barter, use eco fuel, scare away predators naturally and last but not least….get grubby? dirtgirl thinks it is all great fun and uses songs and games to navigate her way through the challenges. She phones a friend (just like in her TV show), asks the kids in the audience to help her out by joining in to prove that she has the Eco Factor! Two shows daily at the KIDS Corner.

Is the IGA Perth Royal Show ready for these radical reptile brothers? Join in and see their signature moves. Fighting villains like Shredder, the Kraang and loads of super-powerful mutants, Leo, Donnie, Raph and Mikey will become the heroes they were destined to be, and have loads of fun along the way! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will perform twice a day at the Entertainment Theatre.

Become a Junior Farmer, at the CBH Group Grain Shed explore how
five different grains - canola, wheat, barley, oats, lupins - end up as
grub. Mill wheat, flake oats, roll pastry, grade grain and make a health
sushi meal in one of five IGA Cooking with Kids classes held each day.
Watch a baker make a meat pie, take part in a potato dig, spot the queen
bee, find out how dairy gets from farm to fridge, find out about WA’s
apple varieties and go shopping at the Buy West Eat Best supermarket.

Using an eye-scope, a magnification device for smartphones and tablets,
kids will take a closer look at the creatures living in the soil.
Children will take soil samples from a ‘paddock’ and test them to
discover their pH value. In the digging area children will be testing soil texture to find out
whether the soil is sandy or clay.
With soil samples from around WA, kids will create their own paints
pigmented with soil and create a painting to take home.

The stars of the Milking Station are anything but prima donnas.
See our beautiful dairy cows milked six times a day then sample dairy
delights in the Dairy Pavilion. Grab a cheese toastie for $2 and freshly

of the CBH Group Grain Train, hop on pint-sized
tractors to get experience in precision
farming and sit in a tractor simulator to
see how farmers let the tractor drive
on auto-steer to plant the crop within
centimeter accuracy. Find out about drone
technology, radio frequency identification
systems that provide information about
the location and well being of livestock
and how wireless weather stations provide
farmers with critical data. These are just
some of the interactive displays at the
Farmtech exhibit that will ensure fun-filled
activities for the youngsters as their eyes
are opened to sophisticated technology
used by today’s farmers.

Cheer on Australia’s fastest wood choppers. Their skill and
stamina is put to the test at the Show’s most energetic competition. The
Wood Chopping Carnival is the biggest and most prestigious in WA with the
Woodchop Arena a must see stop on your Show journey. Today’s competition
was launched in the 1940s and grew from a two day event to the major
drawcard it is now. Wood chopping in WA dates back to 1892 when the first
competition was staged in Albany.

You will find yourself knee deep in history when you watch Nation on Show Vietnam’s spectacular water puppets. The water puppetry is performed in a pool of water following a tradition that dates back to the 11th century when it originated in the villages of the Red River Delta of northern Vietnam. The stunning performances reference Vietnamese folklore and tell stories of traditional rural life.

Claremont Showground was a training and accommodation centre for troops of the 10th Light during WWI. This unique exhibit will feature a display of uniforms of the 10th Light Horse, New Zealand and Turkish armies as well as other memorabilia. You will discover the stories of some of these young men including Lieutenant Hugo Throssell, the only 10th Light Horseman to be awarded the Victoria Cross in WWI. Children can make a replica 10th Light Horse paper slouch hat with ostrich plume. Look out for the Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) outside the entrance.

Police Specialist Units!
