Wood chopping Carnival

Axes swing and wood flies in the Wood Chopping Carnival, one of the most popular and exciting attractions at the Show. Events are held daily in the Pine Hauliers Woodchop Arena and Main Arena drawing big crowds to cheer on spectacular displays of strength, endurance and skill by the axemen and women. Around 70 choppers from across WA, around Australia and even overseas compete. Look out for teen choppers from Adelaide plus Perth’s Sandra Stokell and New Zealand’s Sarah Nelson. Hold your breath for the best of three contests between Australia and New Zealand.
