Opportunities for Volunteers
The Royal Agricultural Society of WA has thousands of volunteers who work tirelessly and provide us with hundreds of man hours and knowledge to assist us in staging the annual Perth Royal Show.

Event Volunteers
- Staffing the Information Booths stationed at the main entrance gates. In this role you need to direct people to the different areas in the Showground or answer a myriad of questions about what's on and where the events are positioned around the grounds.
- Staffing the Agricultural Art display and the Open Art display.
- Assisting the Trophy Coordinator to set up the presentations and deliver ribbons and trophies to the Sections
- Administration work in the main office
Section Volunteers
- There are limited opportunities in the Competitive Sections if you have knowledge or skills in a particular area. For example, if you have a background with sheep there may be an opportunity for you to work with the Sheep or Wool committees or even be on the committee
- Pat-a-Pig - we need students to staff this exhibition and supervise the young children who are allowed to sit in the pen and pat the piglets
- Horses - there are some opportunities for assistance behind the scenes, and acting as runners to and from the main arena with results, counting ribbons
- Pigeons and Poultry - the exhibitors have a designated area where they can sit and chat and we need two people from 10.00am to 2.00pm to assist with morning and afternoon tea for the exhibitors. Alternatively you may like to participate as a Steward in the pavilion.
