The Wood Chopping Carnival is one of the most popular and exciting attractions at the 2010 Smoke Free Perth Royal Show with events held daily in the Wood Chopping Stadium and Peters Drumstick Main Arena.
The carnival always draws big crowds to enjoy a spectacular display of strength, endurance and skill by the axemen.
With over $40,000 in prize money, a strong contingent of competitors travels from across Western Australia, around the country and New Zealand to compete.
Watch out for the best of three as WA versus Queensland.
Some other exciting competitions for in 2010 are: Father and Son competition, Junior 250mm Under Hand 15 years and Under; and the 225mm Veterans Standing Block Round Robin 70 years and Over.
