What do a Turkish Tumbler, the Pygmy Pouter, a Bernevelder and an Indian Runner have in common? They’re all types of world class pigeons and poultry you’ll find in the John O’Meehan Pavilion.
Hundreds of feathered friends are expected to be exhibited in more than 600 classes.
On the opening day of the Show, all the pigeons and poultry will be judged though they will stay on display all week from 9am to 5pm.
The Golden Eggs Guess the Weight of the Chicken competition continues to be popular, with a new winner daily, along with Follow the Yellow Brick Road in to the pavilion.
Primary schools will also compete in the Schools Painting Competition with the resulting artworks judged and hung in the pavilion.
There will be daily talks in the pavilion about pigeons and poultry.
ENTRIES CLOSE: Friday 13 August 2010
