The colourful floriculture display joins the District Displays in the Centenary Pavilion during the Show.
The Floriculture Competition is made up of four sections:
- RAS Floral Competition (open)
- Innovative Design Competition (open)
- Protea and Wildflower Competition (open)
- The Smithers-Oasis Designz Cup Competition (registered students)
The Smithers-Oasis Designz Cup Competition is open to all current students of accredited registered training organisation floristry courses and is an excellent opportunity for students to display their skills. In the past four years, a WA representative has won the national competition three times.
The other three categories are open to entrants of all ages and abilities. This year’s themes celebrate Scouting Australia’s Centenary Year.
Floriculture is a hugely popular part of the Show and entries are created in situ right before the Show opens.
