The Perth Royal Cat Show attracts hundreds of entries from around the State. Many breeds and variety of feline will be on display and groomed for visiting judges. As part of the All Breeds Championship, show visitors will be able to watch the judging on the first Saturday, Sunday and Monday in the Davis Cat Pavilion. This year's all breed judges are Andreas Mobius from the German Cat Fanciers Association and Janis Christison from the Governing council of the Queensland Feline Association. The reserve judges are Margaret Bush and Betty Payne. Andreas Mobius will also judge the Golden Oldies and Breed Lines. Tuesday is Golden Oldies and Breed Lines day. To be eligible for the Breed Lines, cats do not have to be perfect examples of the breed but the three or more generations must show an improvement against their Pedigree Standard. The aim of judging is to assess improvement over each generation. Visitors to the Davis Cat Pavilion will also enjoy three exhibition days. Wednesday is Feline Promotion Day which is the perfect opportunity for clubs, breeding or boarding catteries and individuals to show off the lovely nature of their felines. |
Thursday is Cat Exhibition and Education Day and many different breeds of cats and kittens will be on display and you’ll be able to obtain information on care, responsible ownership, showing and purchasing a pet. Demonstrations will deal with grooming, correct handling and managing your pet.
Kittens and cats will be available for adoption on Friday, which is also Cats In Schools Display and Exhibition Day.
The children’s Cat Art Competition entries will be on display Thursday and Friday.
