The Agricultural Colleges and Schools Competition assists high school students studying agricultural subjects to develop their skills and gain confidence and experience.
The Competition is conducted in two parts:
Part One: The Show Section Competition is where individuals enter Sections of the Perth Royal Show and points for places are allocated to their school/college.
Part Two: The Farm Skills Competition is where teams enter from schools/colleges and points are awarded for placings in each of the eleven events.
The Farm Skills Competition consists of events such as fence construction, pressing and branding a bale of wool, tractor driving obstacle course and safety, wool appraisal, cutting steel plate, chemical safety and first aid.
The winner of the Agricultural Colleges and Schools Competition is the school/college that receives the most points from Part One and Part Two.
