The Perth Royal Wine Show is WA’s premier wine competition. Established in 1843 the competition is credited with putting WA on the map as a producer of quality wines.
Exhibitors can enter three entries per Class except for the Fortified Classes. No wine is to be entered into the Show more than once (excluding Wines of Provenance Class).
Enjoy free tastings of Perth Royal Wine Show award winning wine matched to canapes of Premium Produce Award winners from the Perth Royal Show. Plus a fancy crystal wine glass to keep. A quarterly event held upstairs at The Queens Hotel.
Wine of Provenance
The Wines of Provenance classes continue in this year’s wine competition – Dry White and Dry Red table wines. These classes are to award Australian wines that demonstrate exceptional consistency and intrinsic quality over the years. Each entry is to consist of a group of three different vintages; 2014 and younger, 5 – 9 years old and 10+ years old. These wines will be judged together as a group.
A new scholarship being established by RASWA as part of its expanding education program will assist two students a year to study a wine related course. More information about this exciting opportunity may be obtained from the Royal Agricultural Society website under the Advanced Wine Judges Scholarship page.
